Links Outside of Zenithfallen
Friends
- Xinair.net: Xinair is the domain of my long time friend, Mee, and is also the sister domain of Zenithfallen. She's an amazing artist and is going to take the computer gaming world by storm in the future. Interestingly, "xin" can mean "new" in Chinese and I don't know if she knew that before I told her. :P
- Magnetic North: Magnetic North is the home of another old friend's webpage, this time it showcases her webcomic. She's also a really great artist with a unique style and a great sense of humor, so you should definitely check her site out.
- Blah Blah Online: Blahblah Online is my friend Alex's PHP and AJAX based RPG adventure craziness game. It's really amusing and different with a seething sense of humor. Alex is now a professional web developer and definitely has a bright future ahead of him with his PHP wizardry.
- Mercedesthedog.info: A long time online friend of mine created this webpage for the dog he adopted named Mercedes. You can see photos as she grew up as well as the latest updates on her cute escapades.
- Hadidjah.com: Well, my friend Hadidjah is pretty gifted in having such an unusual name...even moreso than mine. It means that she can simply go out and buy the domain associated with her name...Anyway, that aside, Hadidjah is a fantastic artist who does some amazing realistic and surrealistic work. She is studying computer game design! Whoo!
- Urban Glows: The homepage of one Mister David who I worked with, who went and lived in Egypt. His journal from his adventures is up there as well as other nifty things like his groovy musics that he creates himself with his masterful abilities.
- Bowmasters.org: Despite the simplicity of this site, my coworker Robeson here actually has amazing CSS and other webdesign talents (also a great video editor, if you need one). I guess he was going for the ultimate expression of minimalism. The promise of "more to come" is intriguing, so you may want to bookmark it.
Me on Other Sites
- My Deviantart Page: My Deviantart page is a great archive of all the artwork I've done over about the past four years or so. If you'd like to see all sorts of photos as well as some drawings and such, check it out.
- My del.icio.us Bookmarks: These bookmarks go with me wherever I go. There are some pretty nifty and useful ones, so feel free to poke around there and perhaps you'll find something you'll want to bookmark too.
Useful Sites
Webdesign
- WDG: CSS Properties: My favorite list of CSS properties. Nicely organized and easy to use and understand.
- Spiffy Corners: A fairly painless way to create rounded corners in your layouts without using pesky images.
Chinese
- MDBG.net: While I'm not sure what MDBG stands for exactly, it is one of the best and most robust online Mandarin resources I've ever used. Definitely bookmark it if you're studying Chinese!
- Chinese Tools' Chengyu Dictionary: One of the peskier parts of studying Chinese literature are the (most commonly) four character idiomatic phrases that don't necessarily make sense if you try to analyze the parts separately. Chinese Tools has a dictionary just of these phrases, searchable in pinyin or characers.
- Dimsum Tools: A great all-purpose annotator, dictionary, etc. Java program for all your studying needs. Includes a "search by writing character" option that certainly comes in handy!
